The Sioux Empire Fair announced Thursday that the Charlie Daniels Band will be performing a FREE concert in the grandstand on August 6th as part of the Grandstand Concert Series this summer.

CDB became global superstars in the summer of 1979 when they released The Devil Went Down To Georgia which topped the country and pop charts, won a Grammy Award, won three Country Music Association awards and helped the album sell over three MILLION copies.

But his shows are more than just that one great song, it's rock, country, gospel and just a night that will get you on your feet and put a smile on your face with songs like: In America, Uneasy Rider, The South's Gonna Do It Again, Long Haired Country Boy, Still in Saigon, and The Legend of Wooley Swamp, and the rest of a catalog that spans 50 years of record making and represents more than 20 million in sales.

We are excited to announce that the CHARLIE DANIELS BAND concert will be FREE with paid fair admission. No confusing seating. No confusing ticket prices. FREE with paid fair admission, pure and simple. The CHARLIE DANIELS BAND joins Hunter Hayes, Kip Moore, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, and Hairball as part of the 2013
Grandstand Concert Series.
