An early morning robbery of the Casey's General store on Benson Road led authorities to a local hotel where the SWAT team intervened and arrests took place according to Sergeant Paul Creviston:

Sunday, November 20, 2016, around 5:30 AM, members of the Sioux Falls Police Department were called to Casey’s General Store at 901 East Benson Road for an armed robbery.  The two employees of Casey’s General Store reported two males entered the store and demanded money.  One of the male suspects was armed with a long gun and pointed it at the two employees.  The suspects took money from the cash register and ran from the store.

Tips led authorities to the Happy Rest Motel on North Cliff Avenue.  The SWAT removed ten people from two separate rooms.

Three male juveniles were arrested. One juvenile male was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Robbery, 2 counts of Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Stolen Firearm.  The other two juvenile males were arrested and charged with 1st Degree Robbery and Possession of a Stolen Firearm.
