Three innovative artists were up for the 2014 Billboard Milestone Award, but queen of country Carrie Underwood took home the trophy.

Pop artist Ellie Goulding and pop-rock group OneRepublic were the other two nominees, but Underwood's huge contributions in country music and on the charts helped her pull out front, giving her the much-deserved win.

Underwood looked gorgeous in a floor-length black gown that showed off her famous legs with a sizable slit. She took the mic, saying, "Thank you so much! Thank you fans. I truly have the best fans in the world and I wouldn't be doing one zillionth of what I do without them."

She also thanked her "gorgeous husband" and concluded saying, "Thank you God for letting us be able to do this up here."

The 'See You Again' singer has made an incredible impact in music, being recently named one of the Time 100 and finding more success than any other 'American Idol' winner with 15 million albums sold worldwide and five Grammys.
