Carrie Underwood Performs at Emmys
In an attempt to pay tribute to the Beatles’ appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show and to former President John F. Kennedy’s 50th anniversary of his assassination, Carrie Underwood gave a memorable performance of the Beatles’ “Yesterday” during Sunday night’s 65th Emmy Awards.
However, reviews for the performance are mixed. Many think she looked beautiful and stayed true to the original version, simply putting a small ‘Carrie Underwood’ stamp on the song. But other viewers went straight to Twitter to tweet their displeasure in the performance and the show.
Even though there were some that didn’t appreciate Carrie’s Beatles’ tribute, she later tweeted to her followers that she had a fun night.
