It seems that Carrie Underwood — who just a few short months ago was reluctant to show her face due to a traumatic injury requiring stitches — is over her concerns.

The superstar has been posting photos of herself freely now, showing off her beautiful features, which look virtually unchanged in spite of her accident. She posted a particularly pretty close-up on Friday (May 11), following the May 10 anniversary of her induction into the Grand Ole Opry. "#OprySelfie," she hashtags the photo.

Underwood was only three years into her career when she was inducted into the Opry in 2008. She had shot to overnight stardom after winning Season 4 of American Idol on May 25, 2005, and she made her debut on the Opry just weeks later on June 10.

She became a regular performer on the Opry thereafter, and on March 15, 2008, Randy Travis surprised her during on Opry show with an onstage invitation to become the newest member.

Garth Brooks was on hand to induct Underwood into the Grand Ole Opry on May 10, 2008, which was particularly fitting as the two musicians are both proud Oklahomans.
