Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley pocketed big wins Sunday night (July 31) at the 2016 Teen Choice Awards, even though neither were in attendance.

Both singers are on tour and were unable to attend the awards show at the Forum in Los Angeles, Calif., so they learned of their wins during their respective sets.

Underwood tweeted of her win for Choice Country Artist:

Meanwhile, Paisley learned the news of his win for Choice Country Song for "Without a Fight" with Demi Lovato as he walked off stage in Detroit.

According to TeenChoice.com, more than 37 million votes were cast in support of favorite teen icons in film, television, music, sports, fashion, comedy and the web.

Underwood has enjoyed a successful 2016 so far. The singer recently notched her 24th No. 1 single with "Church Bells." This also marks the third consecutive No. 1 song from her most recent album, Storyteller. The song follows the success of previous singles, “Heartbeat” and “Smoke Break.”

Meanwhile, Paisley is on the road and giving back to fans the only way he knows how: with a free concert. After the cancellation of the Buckle Up Festival, which was slated for Aug. 5-6 in Cincinnati, Ohio with Paisley as headliner, the singer decided to play a free concert in place of the canceled festival.

“I had a day off, and I love your area, and I love the amphitheater,” the artist tells radio station WUBE. Tickets were made available on July 27 and were gone in 20 minutes.

Both Underwood and Paisley will return to host the 2016 CMA Awards this fall. It is the 50th anniversary of the show.
