Police responding to a call of a vehicle in the water and the need for a possible rescue found an allegedly intoxicated woman on the banks of Skunk Creek.  Just after 4:00 PM on Tuesday March 29, 2016, emergency personnel were called to the 1400 block of South Marion Road:

Officers located a black Chrysler 300 on the north bank, just east of S. Marion Rd., with the front end submerged.  The driver, Ashley Mae Timmer, was located outside of the car on the bank.

As paramedics prepared to transport Timmer to the hospital, police say she assaulted a paramedic.

Timmer was also in possession of less than 2oz of marijuana.  Timmer was arrested for DWI-1st, careless driving, driving without a license and simple assault, possession of less than 2oz of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The paramedic did not have any injuries from the assault.
