Cancer Patient Calls 911 For Food

Clarence Blackmon is in his 80s and has cancer. He recently came home after a lengthy stay at the hospital to an empty refrigerator.

Unfortunately, he doesn't have family that lives near him so he didn't know who else to call for help, so he called 911.

He explained his situation to the 911 operator and she came to his rescue, personally. She was escorted by police, just in case it was a prank or a hoax, but it wasn't.

Clarence was grateful for the food and the company.

I think I speak for everyone when I thank that 911 operator for taking the call seriously and in wishing Clarence well.
