Country newcomer Cam is firing up country radio with the release of her latest single, "Burning House."

The singer-songwriter made a challenging choice for her new single, releasing a gorgeous and haunting ballad going into summer, when uptempo party songs are the rule. That risk paid off, with a whopping 95 Billboard and Country Aircheck reporting stations adding the song in its first week at radio, making it the most-added song in this week's Mediabase listing. “Burning House” also received the highest first-week adds from a female artist’s debut project in more than eight years, since Carrie Underwood released “Wasted” in early 2007, and the most first-week adds of any single from any female artist so far in 2015.

“This song has had a life of its own since the day we finished writing it," Cam says in a press release. "‘Burning House’ is really a hard song to sing because it’s such a heavy, personal subject for me. But I think the more vulnerable you feel about your lyrics, the more likely it is that you are saying something that needs to be said. I am in awe of the tremendous support from my pals at country radio and all the kind words from listeners and fans telling me how much this song means to them. I also can’t thank my team at Sony and my Arista promo team enough for all their hard work!”

"Burning House" is the second single from Cam's debut, Welcome to Cam Country - EP, which is available at iTunes. Produced by Grammy winner Jeff Bhasker and Tyler Johnson, the project has also received critical acclaim, with Spin recently weighing in, “Her voice has some twang, and her songwriting is first-rate, with surprising musical range over the four tracks of her debut EP. The emotional range is as wide any album with ten more tracks to boot.”

Cam was also recently selected as iHeartRadio’s next On the Verge Artist.
