Brett Young's next single will be called "Here Tonight" and it will be available on Friday (Sept. 14). "Here Tonight" is the lead single from his Ticket to L.A. album, expected in December.

The news came via an advertisement in the country music trade publication Country Aircheck. "Here Tonight" will be Young's fifth radio single — thus far he has three No. 1 songs on the Billboard Country Airplay chart and one that peaked at No. 2. The 2018 CMA New Artist of the Year nominee has gone platinum with every single he's released.

"Here Tonight" is an uptempo love song that finds the California-raised singer very much living in the moment. "We’re just one kiss away from heaven / So baby hold on tight / Cause I want to be wrapped up in your love / So baby let’s just stay here tonight," he sings during the chorus of a song he co-wrote with Ben Caver, Justin Ebach and Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley.

"Sonically, the feel (of the new album) is much more peppy and uptempo, which totally reflects the place I'm at in my life," Young told Taste of Country at Country Jam 2018 in June. A press release on the new album confers, referring to songs like "Catch" and "Change Your Name" as flirtatious.

Still, fans can expect a fair amount of the heart hurt that defined his self-titled debut album. Young's fiancee Taylor Mills inspired many of the songs on Brett Young, an album that includes melancholy ballads like "Like I Loved You" and "Mercy." There's more to draw from there, he says.

"The second record's definitely going to have a lot more happy, peppy stuff on it, but that's part of my journey. I like reconnecting with those old memories and having a good cathartic cry every once in a while."

Young and Mills have not announced a wedding date other than to indicate it will happen later in 2018. He did share that he'll write a new song for his wedding and perform it for his new wife.
