I always enjoy sharing some stories about the music artists and their songs. Let's talk about one of the top guys in country music today, Blake Shelton.

Since he moved to Nashville right after high school to pursue a career in the music business, he has made many accomplishments. From hit songs and becoming a famous TV personality.

Now Shelton has an even new role. This one has to do with his love for the outdoors.

Blake is an avid outdoorsman, so protecting the native habitats of his home state has been one of the country star’s top passions in life ever since he was in high school.

Now, he has been appointed to the newly formed board of the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Foundation, which is awaiting nonprofit status to start its fundraising efforts.

The state agency gets no funding from the Legislature and runs off revenue from hunting and fishing licenses and taxes on related equipment.
