Augie’s Nathan Hauge Garners All American Honors

Congratulations is in order for Augustana University's Nathan Hauge who took home cross country All-American honors over the weekend.

Hauge ended his career on a high note and became the 25th Augustana men's cross country student to get All-American Honors with more than half coming under current coach Tracy Hellman.

According to GoAugie.com, Hauge was certainly happy with the result to end his career with the Vikings.

"It was nice to end my career as an All-American, but I would trade it in for the team to have made it on the podium, Hauge said about Saturday's championship performance from him and his team. "We have all worked so hard this season and I know without them I wouldn't have had the success I had this year."

He went on to tell GoAugie.com how this honor was icing on the top.

"after last year, I knew that I wanted to come back and work hard, have some fun, and being an All-American is just extra."

This is Hauge's second All-American honor, receiving his first in 2014 after finishing 32nd.

He was out last year and was granted a medical hardship by the NCAA which allowed him to have his sixth and final year of eligibility.
