Atlanta Hawks CEO Steve Koonin Excuses People from Their Jobs and Offers Free Tickets
Steve Koonin might be the coolest CEO of all-time for Atlanta Hawks fans. Koonin sent out a tweet offering an excused tardiness from work, and free tickets.
The Hawks played a late game last night that tipped off at 10:38pm eastern. Koonin tweeted out a photo for people to get excused for work the next morning, and then offered free tickets.
Stay up late to watch the Hawks tonight. Take this note to the office tomorrow and the box office on Wednesday pic.twitter.com/OmURUkRGdD

The tickets would be good for the excused late person, along with their boss, for Wednesday’s game.
Atlanta defeated the Clippers 107-98 for their 7th straight road win. The game also pulled a 2.2 rating on their television affiliate SportSouth.
Makes me think of those games that the Canaries hosted for a couple years that started at 5:05am. Wonder if they do it again if they can offer a early release from work note or tardiness note as well.
Either way, Koonin made a good ratings drive for SportSouth and should have a packed house for Wednesday’s game against Memphis.
