Quick, what grows along the road in the ditch that people in South Dakota and surrounding states go scavenging for?  If you said asparagus you would be correct. Oh, it grows in other places as well and if you know where to look you can take home some good eating' and have fun with friends doing it!

Wednesday afternoon I talked with Debra from Worthing, South Dakota. She mentioned that she was off work for the day and was going to go out asparagus hunting. I was jealous and heck. The afternoon was perfect for a little road hunting or perusing a favorite honey hole for the green goodness.

Asparagus season doesn't last long in South Dakota. If you know where to look, now would be the time!
