Armed and Dangerous: Sioux Falls Police Search for Rapist

At 4:30 PM Friday November 13, 2015, Sioux Falls authorities were alerted that Frederick James McAbee, was apprehended in Pipestone, Minnesota. Warrants have been issued for:

Attempted 1^st Degree Murder
2 counts of 1^st Degree Kidnapping
2 counts of 2^nd Degree Rape
Aggravated Incest
Distribution of Controlled Substance to Minors
3 counts of Committing or Attempting to Commit Felony with a Firearm.

Bond was set in the amount of 2 million dollars.

Sioux Falls Police are looking for 41-year-old Frederick James McAbee. He allegedly raped a 14-year-old relative, held her captive in a van and is now evading authorities.

The girl was able to get away from him Thursday night and McAbee fired a gun as she fled.

The assault happened in a gray 1999 Chevy Express, full-sized cargo van, with South Dakota license 1BMC21.

The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see the suspect, or the van, please call police immediately.
