Perhaps you're heading into retirement, or you're just thinking ahead about where you would like to live when you head into that phase of your life, where do you plan to go?

According to the website WalletHub, you don't need to look very far. They rank South Dakota as being the third best state in the country in which to retire to.

They lists Colorado as being the best state, with South Carolina second, and South Dakota third. Wyoming and Florida round out the top five.

According to a spokesperson for the website, most of the top states don't tax social security or pension income, making them great states to spend your retirement years.

At the bottom of the list - Hawaii and Rhode Island.
