Evidence of work is apparent at the soon to be Indoor Aquatic Center. A multitude of changes will be occurring until the Fall of 2016.

Monday April 20, 2015 was the target day to send the heavy equipment on the site.  Already in the first 24 hours, the makeover has seen progress.

Photographic evidence shows the reshaping from last week to the current status. Equipment making tracks early in the process is just the beginning.

Also at the site, piles of dirt are piled up along the north boundary.  Trees have been uprooted to clear the way for the structure soon to come.

Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation Director Don Kearney says after the removal of trees the digging will begin in earnest. “The excavator is on site and we can start digging the footings for the project.” Once complete, Sioux Falls will have its first publicly run Indoor Aquatic Center.
