A New Christmas Tree for Sanford’s Childrens Hospital [PHOTO]
The children at Sanford Children’s Hospital in Sioux Falls will get a new view from the castle windows this holiday season thanks to some caring workers.
A new Christmas tree was planted in the middle of campus by a crew from Henry Carlson Construction.
The photo (above) was sent to us by Wendy Newberg, whose brother is part of the crew in front of the tree, along with this letter:
Really want to share with you that I am a very proud little sister. My brother Jim works for an amazing company that hauled a Christmas tree to Sanford Children’s Hospital today. About 25 feet in diameter at its base of the branches and about 45 feet tall. The children get to have their Christmas tree now! My brother was the driver of the truck and drove it from 57th street and Minnesota to the Children’s Hospital. Seeing and hearing the joy he had from doing this was amazing, I have always been proud of him and wanted to pass it along! Please give a shout out to Jim Richarz of Henry Carlson’s as well as Greg Mohr and Al! It would just be one way I can let my brother know how every day he is my role model even as we are adults! Can you play as song to him from me as well? Lucky Man! That is how he feels with his family and what he gets to do! And think of him every time I hear it! Thanks KIKN!!
Thank you, Henry Carlson Construction for providing a nice view and a wonderful Christmas tree for the kids.
