According to ABC News, David Cassidy was arrested early Wednesday morning in upstate New York for felony DWI and failure to dim headlights. He was arrested at a sobriety checkpoint.

Cassidy, who played Keith Partridge in the 70's sitcom Partridge Family, was arraigned and remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail. He posted $2,500 in bail and was released.

In 2010, Cassidy was arrested for DUI and driving with an open container.  He pled no contest to the charges.  The latest DWI allegation in New York state makes his arrest a felony charge according to New York DUI statutes.

Cassidy nor a representative could be reached for comment.

Cassidy's TV mom, Shirley Jones has written a tell-all autobiography which has been described by many as nothing short of 'shocking.'
