In 2016, an estimated 1,685,210 new cases of cancer  will be diagnosed in the United States and 595,690 people will die from the disease.

In Nashville, Tennessee, a teacher named Ben Ellis has been teaching Latin and Bible at Christ Presbyterian Academy since 2008. Last year he was diagnosed with cancer and began chemotherapy treatments.

So the entire student body of more than 400 students and faculty loaded up the buses and showed support for the teacher's fight against cancer by gathering outside his window to sing to him. The group sung and played for 30 minutes. When asked about the emotional moment, Ben said:

“Wow. It was amazing. In that moment, it felt like I was not alone. We’re all together and not just that group, but everybody I’ve known”
