4-H Building in South Dakota Getting Ready
The Nordby Exhibit Hall for 4-H, Youth and Community is beginning to take shape at the South Dakota State Fairgrounds.
The new hall is being built where Clover Hall formerly stood. Construction began in mid-2015.
When finished, the 48,000-square-foot structure will feature 30,000 square feet of exhibit space, multiple classrooms and a large kitchen for 4-H Special Foods competitions.
The facility will be used year-round for such 4-H activities as learning activities, meetings and competitions. It will also serve as the 4-H hub during the annual State Fair.
The grand opening will take place during the 2016 South Dakota State Fair scheduled for September 1 thru 5.
