211 Day Volunteers on 2-11 Did a Lot of Good Works in Sioux Falls

2-11 day on 2-11 - February 11, 2015 - was a success in Sioux Falls. The day to honor and recruit volunteers had 184 participants at the Helpline Center. And what did they do?

• Made and distributed nearly 600 valentines for the elderly, medical patients and veterans.
• Assembled over 300 hygiene kits for the homeless and victims of domestic violence.
• Made 507 Happy 211 Day calls to businesses in Yankton, Brookings and Rapid City.
• Programmed 45 old cell phones to dial 211 and 911 for homeless veterans.
• Made cards and assembled 263 informational packets for survivors of suicide loss.
• Created 108 soda can candy bouquets for Helpline Center donors and partner agencies.
