Injuries in general are scary when watching any sporting event, but as well all know watching the NFL, that the injuries are much more common for the most violent major professional sport in the US.

The NFL has now released its 2015 injury data for us to see how the documented injuries that they release have all gone up in 2015.

In 2015 we saw a incline in the number of diagnosed concussions which has many pointing to the game still being too violent and that more needs to be done to protect head injuries.

And as I agree with that premise, I do also believe the fact that more are being diagnosed is a good thing.  I don't think that most of us think that concussions are a new thing to the sport, but what people dont realize when criticizing these numbers is that the diagnosis is half the battle.  Then it's handling it, treating it and putting the player in the right position to return down the road.

Furthermore as you look at the data, another criticism for the NFL as of late has been on the Thursday Night games causing a bigger risk for the players on the short turnaround.

Although last year we saw a decline in the number of injuries on Thursday Night Football, this year we saw a almost 1 player increase per game in injuries from 2014 to 2015.
