Do you know how to build a campfire?  According to a new survey there a lot of traditional skills that are dying out. These are things we no longer have to think about because our electronic devices are doing the thinking for us.

Not that long ago people could actually do things without googling first.

According to a new survey on dailymail.co.uk here are the 10 Traditional Skills That Are Dying Out:

  1. Reading a map.
  2. Using a compass.
  3. Knowing how to tie different knots.
  4. Darning socks (That means sewing up holes in them) 
  5. Looking something up in a book by using the index.
  6. Knowing how to format a letter.
  7. Knowing measurement conversions, like there are four quarts in a gallon.
  8. Spelling and grammar.
  9. Building a fire.
  10. Having good penmanship, because no one writes anything anymore.
