19 year-old Ammuna Gayya of Sioux Falls is dead after a stabbing in Northeast Sioux Falls Thursday evening. Just before 5:00 PM police, fire and ambulance personnel were dispatched to 1908 East Rice Street #5 in Sioux Falls.

Emergency crews found that Gayya and 27 year-old Denga Kotudy of Sioux Falls had been stabbed. Both were transported by ambulance to receive medical attention. Gayya was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. Kotudy survived his injuries.

Another tennant in the building on Rice Street called the police. The apartment where the stabbing took place was the home of one of the victims but police didn't reveal which one.

31 year-old Janno Kollay Talla from Worthington, Minnesota is accused of stabbing both victims with what police believe was a knife.

Police learned at the scene that the suspect may have been traveling to Worthington. Authorities in the area were then alerted and Worthington PD Officers stopped and detained Talla.

Warrants were issued for two counts of 1st Degree Murder, one count of 2nd Degree Murder and two counts of Aggravated Assault. Talla remains in custody in Worthington, Minnesota pending extradition.
